Are you looking for an opponent for your favorite CCG or that game where there doesn't seem to be any interest for anymore?

Other than playing MTG many moons ago, I'm brand new to CCG, and am willing to learn practically any existing game.

As such, I'd be happy to get involved in a game of your choosing if you can walk me through it.  Just let me know when and where.

Thanks.

I'm Trent and I play the Harry Potter TCG. I would love to teach anyone any time that I am on. You can also IM me and I will usually drop whatever else I am doing around the house if I get to play HP.

Hi Trent.

Sounds good.  I'd be willing to give Harry Potter a shot sometime over the next week or two -  will contact you when I get couple of free hours.  Thanks!

If anyone else is looking for players for other games, please feel free to respond.

Hi Naush...

When you say "am willing to learn practically any existing game" do you mean any game that still has an active following (i.e. the game's not totally dead) or just any game?

If you mean to learn a game that is still alive, the only one i'm familiar with is Fight Klub. I'd be happy to show you the basics. It's still relatively new, with the core set (One) and two other expansions (Two & Three). You can find out more on the Decipher website.

If you are interested in any game, even defunct or dead ones, then you might want to give EVE a shot. Ripplez also just learned how to play, and i think there were another few people here on Lackey who were interested. It's a space game based on the popular EVE-Online MMO, and i personally think it's the best ccg EVARRRR! just my opinion though.

Other than that, im sure there are no shortage of folks who would be willing to show you how to play WoW or Vs...

All the best!

Howdy, Naush.

Curious, do you have any times that are good for you? (Mine are in me sig, arrr.)

Naush_D99

I'm available usually Saturdays and most weekday evenings, with the exception of mid-week (Tues/Wed).

I've just managed to get Lackey up and running 100%, and am still working through figuring out most the program's functions.  In any case, I think I'm ready to try something out.

hey I'm pretty much similar to you willing to play anything and wish there were more people playing less common (read: not magic) ccgs at least in few enough numbers to pretty much guarantee a game if you sit waiting for 4 or 5hrs... pm me if you want to arrange a game of something or which ccg you interested in learning/playing...

BrotherM

Hey, I'm also looking to learn anything- I've played Magic off and on since 96, but nothing else really.  I've read the rules for several games like Doomtown and Vtes and I'm interested in Netrunner, any of the 3 new LCG's, or anything really.

I'm in USA - Moutain time zone, and if you see me online in the evening, send me a PM and i'll come learn anything you want to play. :)

Oh yeah, and i hadn't heard of EVE card game before, but I'm definitely interested in that one.

I primarilly play WoW TCG (Eastern Time zone).  I'm "Colin" in the game if anyone wants to hit me up on a PM here.

Hi all,

Let me join the ranks of those who would try out basically any kind of ccg. My irl experience with these things is the following.
I was dragged into playing LotR right before it started dying (~2005, I remember they didn't release Bloodlines yet). By the time I could build a barely-working deck, everyone stopped playing it near me, mostly retreating to Magic: The Gathering. I didn't want to join them and spend another total of $100 worth of local money [which was pretty much for a 13-14 years old] just to play a stupid and popular tcg. I was introduced to magic once, started to play a match, never had the chance to finish it. This was all my exposure to trading card games irl.

The only ccg i like right now is lotr, obviously; but I think I would be open for anything other that anime or porn.

I'm interested in Netrunner

Hi BrotherM,

I can offer you a (teaching) game of Netrunner. I am on the server right now. If right now doesn't work for you, we can schedule a match.
My timezone is GMT+2 (Berlin/Frankfurt).
This offer is valid for anyone else, too.

We'd love to have you join us to learn Solace of Eternity.  3 sets for 340 cards out atm, with several dozen active players, we meet up in our IRC channel.
