Having trouble hosting an updatelist on a new server (host gator)

So I just made my first plugin, but I want to host it and the card images on my server.

The problem is that every time I try to paste the AutoUpdate URL in Lackey, it says "Error: timed out while updating the plugin."

I tried hosting the updatelist on a different server (A Godaddy server) and it can download from there.

Does anyone have any advice? Like the title says, my site is through Host Gator. Are there options I need to change to let it communicate with Lackey?

I'm not really sure what's happening with it. I get the same error as well on my end. Maybe try catching Trevor on aim or skype, see if he can sort it out.
