For commander games(and possibly more), It'd be a good idea to add a token or alternate Life Point spot(s) for Commander damage. In my opinion, tokens would work better for multiple opponents because , if i understand right, each commander has a different kill-damage count.

You can also add notes to cards to keep track of these kinds of things.
