iPad: Right click menu is way off

I am touching the top middle of the playing area and the right click menu is showing up way off.  This happens with every plugin and happens pretty much all the time.  Some times it will be right under my finger but most times it is somewhere else.  The main problem is that if I lift my finger, the menu goes away so I have to slide my finger all the way to the menu.  Also, I can tap on the same spot and it shows up in a different place.  Seems random.

Is there any way to make the menu pop up right where I touch and not go away if I lift my finger?  Most apps that bring up a menu either stay there for a few seconds and then go away if nothing is tapped or goes away when another area is tapped.  I'd prefer it pop up and not go away until I select something or I tap some place else.
