great idea for a ccg

im not sure if anyone has heard of the game "war machine" but its a sweet table top game where you assume the identity of a "warcaster" and lead an army to decimate your opponent.

the armies consist of five separate factions, and sixth faction of mercenaries which can go in any faction.

the company, privateer press, has a huge background story to this game told in several different books
the books all have stats for every single creature in the game, so converting the creatures into card format wouldnt be to hard.

im still thinking about how big decks would be, and whether there would be some form of "mana" or not

the game war machine allows characters to attack others based on how close they are in centimeters, or inches(i forgot which). how would i be able to include that into the game?
im thinking maybe loading pictures of the tools used for the game. (theyre little plastic circles that look almost like a target with the lines spaced an inch/cen. apart)

also, would it be possible to have the the character avatars stand up off the board, like how a player avatar looks when the board is tilted. seeing how the characters are statues and not cards.

one more thing, im still not sure how many units would be allowed on the battlefield at once(im most likely going to have to scale it down quite a bit) but im not sure if there would be a way to make the board bigger.

who knows if making a table top game for lackey would be functional, but itd be fun to try
if i cant make one, ill just convert it into a ccg

I don't know if many have heard of Summoner Wars, but this game is a combination of card game and tabletop wargame.
