Programming Help Forum / Re: Source code
February 25, 2018, 01:01:34 PM
No, Trevor has not released the source for Lackey at this time.

Lackey used to show the plugin names, but that just led to alot of confusion because people would use modified or different versions of plugins, which were incompatible with each other.

Not sure how much space you need, but if you can keep things under 1GB or so, you can get a free starter account with unlimited bandwidth on Radhat's Open Shift platform.  That is where I am hosting the Redemption CCG plugin.

The MTG plugin is over 2gig at present and will only continue to get bigger.

This thread is ancient and the original poster is gone. Locking it.

Unfortunately the magic plugin is just too big to host on Lackey's web space. As it stands it's a fairly regular battle for me to keep enough space free for the forums to continue to function properly. I believe that is probably the biggest hurdle to someone taking over the plugin is having a reliable host with sufficient space and bandwidth.

That looks like Windows 10 is doing some funky business with the window. The can't save prefs errors you're getting imply that lackey does not have permission to write to the location you have it in.

It seems the host has changed some of the security settings so some of our users might be unable to connect to the forums or the regular website. If you're seeing this and experience an error stating that the requested URL was rejected along with a support ID, then the way to fix it for now is to clear any and all lackeyccg cookies from your browser.

I've got a message into Trevor so hopefully he'll get in touch with the host soon (since his name is on the account), and we can get a long term fix in place hten.

Send me a PM with his IP address and I can see if it's been blacklisted for one reason or another.

Unfortunately I had to go with a very strict, complex captcha to keep the spam bots away. This is the first time I've  heard of it giving anyone that much trouble though. I'll look into it and see if there's any adjustments I can make without opening the floodgates again to spammers.

Not sure, I'm able to connect fine. What's the build date of the lackey you're using?
#56
Several plugins are  hosted on the lackey web server. The issue there is that it's almost out of space and on the occasions that it does fill up, it breaks the forums.

Good work as usual Snoogy.

If you've still got it on your computer, you can copy the folder for shadowrun out of your plugin folders to the other computer.
#59
According to Trevor this happens when you try running the application from outside it's folder. Dunno if it'll help or not, but that's the only possible solution I have at this time.

General Discussion Forum / Re: So... is lackeyCCG dead?

The short answer is I don't know what Trevor's plans are. I know it's been a long time since the program was last updated, however there have been numerous server side fixes since then. Plus whatever he's done for the apple port. I still log into the forums regularly and keep them as spam free as I can.
