Zoom works like zooming a camera. Scale changes the size of the cards themselves. One or the other should be suitable for everything you are looking for.
You can also resize the other areas of the table. If you have huge card images, you can reduce the area allotted to the large card viewer so you can get more space for the table, but you will still see the large card at full size on mouse over. If you want to read the cards on the table, you can use QuickZoom. To QuickZoom, control+middle click on the table on a card.

I've tried many plugins and the all keep crashing.Manual plugins work perfectly unless I have to update them.
Please contact me on Skype and I can investigate this with you.

Hi,

So after wrestling for a while with the updatelist.txt file, I finally got it to work. It gets up to the point where it wants to go find the CardImageURLs and crashes after telling me the app needs to reload the plugin. "The plugin has been updated successfully but the changes won't take effect until you reload the plugin". When I hit the reload now button, I get a window that says "Waiting for the plugin to load", then both the iPad and Mac client crash out completely after about a half second.

The CardImageURLs are all formatted thusly:

first/first_e001.jpg   http://this-is-my-url.com/thisismypluginname/sets/setimages/first/first_a001.jpg

There are about 900 of those, then:

general/cardback.jpg   http://this-is-my-url.com/mypluginname/sets/setimages/general/cardback.jpg

After that is the end of the file.

Any ideas?
cardback.jpg and spawned.jpg should not be included with the card images but rather with the required plugin files at the top, and they should have checksums. I also suggest you save your cardback.jpg and spawned.jpg adjacent to your plugininfo.txt. There are 2 files a plugin requires to run: plugininfo.txt and cardback.jpg. What you were doing is not downloading cardback.jpg immediately, but rather "on demand" which doesn't work with necessary files.

Also, Lackey does not currently support ascii characters other than the basic set. So for example, I don't suggest you use the character for beta.

I will look into that 3377 limit. There should be no limit iirc.

You can also do this: load one pool, add the cards you want from that pool to your deck list, and then load a second pool, and add those cards from your deck list.

Can you give the the actual autoupdate URL so I can test it? PM it to me if you don't want it public.

There is this new restriction on card pools now that wont let you add cards to a deck from multiple pools. I use lackey to store my IRL collection and create decks/test them before i make them in the real world. I have my cards separated by set in different pools but lackey wont let me combine cards from different pools anymore. is there a way i can turn this off?
You can save them all as one pool, or you can use the Paste button. I'm not exactly sure why you're saving them as separate pools when you want to use them as a single pool. If you really want them as separate files, you could store them both as separate files and also as one file.

Ok, someone reported that Lackey wasn't working well on his iPad mini, but it turns out he just hadn't installed the 1.0.1 update yet. I was worried there for a moment.

First off, that is odd how both of you can't connect to the server at the same time. Have you tested this? Person A can connect fine, unless person B is already connected? And person B can connect fine unless person A is already connected? If that is the case, I can tweak the code to allow you both to connect to the server at the same time, even if you're on the same LAN.

In the interim, if you are on the same LAN, you should be able to direct connect. (Or even if you are not on the same LAN). You should be able to have one person host (without connecting to the server) and the other person join by entering the host's LAN IP address (or wan if you aren't on the same lan). Obviously, you won't be able to connect if you have certain internet settings that prevent this. Do you have control over the wifi at all? You can also try turning of your computer's firewall and see if that works. It's usually a lot easier to connect to another device over a LAN than a WAN due to how routers usually handle security.

You can contact me on Skype and I can troubleshoot with you. I'm trevoragnitti on Skype.

That's odd. Not sure what exactly it was complaining about. I would be wary of downloading a dll from some untrusted site though.

Anyone have an iPad mini? Someone reported that Lackey doesn't work well on an iPad mini, but I was under the impression that I had fixed that issue in version 1.0.1.

I figured instead of creating a new thread I'd just add to this one as I've done everything suggested,
and even tried remaking the whole updatelist.txt and nothing seems to work.

At first I thought it might be that I'm using dropbox, but all tests I can do came up inconclusive, so I'm at a dead end.
Here's the link to my update.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/iy3rw4pyav4prcr/updatelist.txt

Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

P.S. Here's the whole plugin if that's needed for any reason.
that is not a URL to a direct link to a file. It is a link to page that displays the file, as well as a download button and other stuff besides the file. I haven't used Dropbox.com for plugins, so maybe someone else knows for sure, but I think lackey needs a direct link to the file. Take a look at other working auto update urls when you open them in a browser. They are just the contents of the file.

i haven't tried that plugin, but it would assume you can either:
Left click to select a card, then click the Turn over button below the table
OR
Right click the card and choose Turn Over from the menu.

Yeah, you would think that. However, it doesn't have a 'turn over' button on the menu below and it's not a right click option. I'm guessing that because Tragic uses the CTRL click keys he didn't bother including it.

EDIT: I just loaded his LOTR plugin. Again, same problem. It's less of an issue since the only cards that really need to be turned over in LOTR are the quest cards, but it does make it a little finicky. I've asked Tragic about it in the Death Angel plugin, but it might be good to have some of the most common hot-keys combos included in the ios app (or even a console command for it so I can make a custom bind in the log).
I will try adding control, alt, shift, command as buttons, near the touch controls. But Tragic really should include turn over in a plugin that allows cards to be turned over.

Hey Trevor. The iPad app looks great.

I've been trying to get Tragic's Death Angel plugin to run, but the biggest issue is that he relies on the CTRL-click combo to turn over cards, and I can't seem to find a way to do this through the ipad app. Is there a 'turn over card' method for the iPad I am missing?

There seems to be a problem with the LotR LCG plugin.  One of the items fails to download (the readme of all things) and this seems to prevent iPad Lackey from doing whatever it does at the end of a successful download - it doesn't pop up the success window.  This means the LotR plugin doesn't get added to the recently loaded plugins list and because of the above problem you can't browse it in either.
The issue with the browse plugins not listing the plugins is the same issue catherineshmidt and McFly reported in another topic (http://www.lackeyccg.com/forum/index.php?topic=2391.0) and I since fixed but apple hasn't made live yet.
It was caused by the date format people were using not being the one I assumed (the American format). That's why you don't see plugins listed. You can still load plugins (without browsing) but only if there are no errors when downloading the plugin. The fastest fix would be to have the plugin maker fix the broken link in the plugin.

Again, this issue was already fixed, so please be patient while apple reviews the update and makes it live.
