Title: What are the rules regarding taking over/updating someone else's Plugin?
Post by: klandaghi on September 28, 2017, 01:16:52 AM
Hi Everyone,

I'm new, but I just spent a chunk of time tonight working to add one of the Dungeon Decks to the WoW TCG plugin from this site.  I had originally considered rebuilding the entire database from scratch, but then opted to just add on to what was already there.  I added the Dungeon Deck for Deadmines, including making the "Sample Deck" that is the Dungeon Deck itself with all 70 cards.  Working to make that available and attempting to set up the autoupdate.txt but that may have to wait for another day.  I would like to credit the original makers and maintainers of the plugin which I'm effectively building on top of.  Is there a set of tags that can be used in the version.txt to credit them as well?

Thanks,
Klandaghi

No rules, It's all Fair Game. Its an Open Source CCG. I took an Old Vanguard Plugin and Updated it to my liking.

So then I just need a place to host the files and to set up the auto update url and structure, good to know.

Thanks,
