Anyone? No? I would like to be able to play magic again but this is stupid. I haven't done anything different than any of the other times ive installed this program.

I just tried it and it worked for me.  The problem must be on your end, did you change anything since your last successful installation?

Something you might want to do is update Lackey. I couldn't get the MTG plugin to load at all a while back ago, and the problem was solved by updating Lackey itself. Even if you shouldn't need to update, try it anyway.

I am experiencing this same issue. Lackey Build Date 9-22-14, using both http://www.siegescg.com/magicthegathering/high/updatelist.txt and http://www.siegescg.com/magicthegathering/medium/updatelist.txt as update URLs. This same error occurs on both a new installation on a Windows XP 32 bit computer and on a previous version of Lackey running on a Windows 7 64 bit machine that I updated on 12/20 to the latest version. I tried installing a different plugin ( http://www.lackeyccg.com/pokemon/high/updatelist.txt ) and it worked fine so it appears to be an issue specifically with the magic plugin.

Thoughts on resolution?

It's possible the site that hosts that plugin was down when you tried. Is it still not working? Can you visit the link in a web browser?

Just had Erv come into a room talking about the issue. He wasnt able to get either high or medium quality. I can visit the site on a web browser, so dunno what the issue is overall.

I am also having the same issue "Error: timed out while updating the plugin". I just reinstalled Lackey and the website appears to be working properly in a browser. Thanks for looking into this.

Trevor. The link itself works, but there seems to be some sort of issue between the link and the use of it through LackeyCCG. I've tried updating it through my home network, a couple local networks, and my cell phone network. Its not a firewall issue or some sort of security measure as I've gone through and made sure everything even resembling security was disabled in order to test for that. Are any other plugins having an issue? I only know/use the magic one, so I am not sure if there is an issue with just the magic plugin and lackey, or if it is perhaps an issue with lackey having with plugins after a recent update or pathway change...

Ok, here is what I have run into.  I hope it helps you out in your search for what the problem is.

Since I couldn't install/update this plugin either, I thought I would go at it in a completely different approach.  What I did was to make a "updatelist.txt" file also using an exact copy of your file.  I placed it on a page of a site I run, and used that address & file to try the Install/Update.  In doing that, instead of getting the "timeout error", I got the following:

1.  It states:  "Updating plugin from URL: http://files.enjin.com/856179/updatelist.txt

2.  It then states"  "There is a newer verson of plugins/magic/version.txt. Local checksum:0. Remote checksum:242325. Preparing to download...    (Which it does this for every entry in your .txt file as I don't have the plugin installed yet, lol.)

3.  It then states:  "===>Downloading magic plugin update. When all files are done downloading, if you are updating a plugin, you must relaunch LackeyCCG for this update to take effect. If you are installing a new plugin, when all the files are done downloading, use the "Browse installed plugins to load one" button to select it."

4.  It then states:  "Download Failure: plugins/magic/version.txt from http://www.siegescg.com/magicthegathering/high/version.txt...   (Which it does this for every entry in your .txt file again.)

5.  It finishes with:  "ERROR.AutoUpdate process is done, but nothing was successfully downloaded."

I know you thought that maybe something on Lackey's end, from a patch/update perhaps, was causing an inability to Install/Update for many of us - it seems that the problem is highly likely to be on your site.  What the issue is, I don't have a clue, lol.  I'll leave my link up for you to use during your troubleshooting of this.  As soon as you get it fixed, let me know and I will gladly remove my link to your work.

Good luck and looking forward to the fix!

Well, I've been having the same problem as everyone else. As a work-around, I've manually recreated many of the files for the plug-in by following the links listed in the updatelist.txt. As long as you make the .txt and .xml files, things seem to be working.

It's a little time consuming, but as long as you put the updatelist.txt in the plug-in folder, most of the card images download appropriately.

This did NOT fix the timeout issue with the updater.

I'm having the same issue, though it's not what I noticed at first. Without reinstalling or to my knowledge changing anything, one day when I got on Lackey, some cards (mostly from M15 and Khans) that had been working fine previously now had no images. My friends and I playing all started experiencing the problem at the same time, though different ones of us are missing different images.

Trying to reinstall the plugin gets the timeout error others have mentioned, but I can access the update list and seemingly all mentioned files (including images) just fine in a web browser.

Even if the downloads aren't working, how in the world could I have lost image files I had previously? I checked, they're not there on my hard drive in their sets' image folders.

I don't know if this is relevant, but perusing the image folders, other sets have their images as "###.jpg", but Khans and M15 have "temp###.jpg". I've never looked through the image folders before so I have no idea if that's normal.

If someone wants to pm me their instant message contact info I can troubleshoot with you. I don't know if this is a bug or a mistake with a plugin (or the plugin's web host).

it looks like the site that is hosting the plugin, siegescg.com, is not working properly right now. I put the updatelist.txt file on another site temporarily and it works again, so the problem must be with with his website, but i dont know what it is exactly. i'm not sure how i can fix the issue unless the guy who let me host it at his site can figure it out, or if someone else can host the plugin.

if you have a website, can give me ftp access, and are willing to host the mtg plugin, please pm me.

I am curently having the same problems as shown before... I may be willing to send you (Trevor) a IM to trouble shoot...

Plus i think i may have found a problem...

http://www.siegescg.com/magicthegathering/high/updatelist.txt

at the top it says "magic   11-09-14"
my question is, is that refering to a date as in DD-MM-YY or MM-DD-YY

I haven't been able to figure out what was wrong. I thought maybe the website was locking out specific regions, but another member mentioned he was in South Florida which is different than my BC, Canada... So that can't be it... Not even sure what to try or even think of next...

Well I have the problem and i live in England, so it isn't a region problem...

There are 2 possible issues.  1)  The files the plugin link has you download are no longer on the siegescg servers, or 2) the url at the very bottom of the plugin text file is no longer valid. --> http://www.wizards.com/global/images/magic/general/ <--
