Title: Any hope in making Lackey open source?
Post by: ThatGuyMike on October 23, 2020, 11:10:59 pm
I'm a big fan of Lackey and have been using it weekly since the pandemic to continue playing VtES with friends. I've read some posts and  notice that Trevor hasn't been able to dedicate much time to Lackey development/updates. It seems there was some work done in the summer of 2018, but no official release. With the last version being from 2014, I was wondering if there was any chance that Trevor would be into making it open source so the community could continue his awesome project. Anyone have insight on this (or Trevor if you're reading the forum still it would be great to hear from you directly!)

I've brought it up with him numerous times over the years. He has concerns about legal issues, which I've tried to address for him but nothing has happened on this front.
