Title: MTG Prebuilts
Post by: juanquapha on December 07, 2009, 11:17:51 PM
Is there a database of MTG pre-built decks (.dek) that anyone knows about? and or is there somewhere i can get a listing of all the Pre-builts so that i can make them (ugh) one at a time... I would love any and all assistance.  If i have to make them myself I would make them available to all :-D

edit: I found a list of all the cards and the deck names et all 190+ EEK!! anyone made any of them?? anyone want to help compile them? or clue me into a way to easily convert something like this list...

http://www.wizards.com/magic/displaythemedeck.asp?set=9e&decknum=1&lang=en

to a dek file...

MTG Salvation has card lists for many (all?) of the pre constructed decks.

like so:

http://wiki.mtgsalvation.com/article/Unstable_Terrain

Thanks site looks cool the wiki has a full list with links to wizards, so I can get the lists no problem... its the task of entering them that im not looking forward to... I wish there was a way to automate it but I doubt there is...

EDIT: i decided to export to txt and then load the txt and lol i can just DL the mtgo TXTs from mtgsalvation! YAY I will have to rename them I want

%SET% - %COLORS% - %DECK_NAME%.TXT

Anyone have some interest in a ZIP of them all when I am done?

Why dont you just copy the pre-cons that you want then paste them into lackey?

If you provide me with a .txt input and a .dek output I can look at them and see if auto-conversion is at all possible.

Note that lackey can read .txt files. To save space, I've converted most of my decks to .txt format. If you can get the list set up like this:

Quote from: BEST DECK EVER4 Tarmogoyf
56 other cards
Sideboard:
10 more tarmogoyfs
5 Healing Salve

then lackey will be able to read them, and you won't have to convert.

And you double checked the lackey decks against the originals? I ask because I've put a few decks into lackey via text and if there's a typo in the original list it's not going to register. Same thing with the paste function.
