Title: Grammar
Post by: photon79 on February 13, 2010, 06:00:11 PM
Hi, I have been using LackeyCCG for some time now. Especially when reading the log in the server lobby, I was not pleased at all. Chat lingo, leet, personalized abbreviations are all fine but bad English is just bad English, there is no way around. I hope the right persons read my kind advice:

"Dear LackeyCCG user,

please peruse the text material from the English lessons back in your
primary school days. It is to be expected that there are exercises
concerning the grammar of the written English language. I would kindly
advise you to read them and just in case complete them as far as this
has not been done yet.

Sincerely"

I probably shouldn't have, but that made me laugh so hard my brain broke. But for people whose first language isn't English it's excusable for them to have bad grammar and spelling. But if your first language is English then there really isn't an excuse, other than learning difficulties, or problems associated with such.

edit- everyone makes mistakes also :P

Well the lackey interface, on my mac at least, isn't forgiving of typos.

Fixed.
(Yes, I know this was obnoxious. I don't really care.)

(*coughcough* I didn't make a mistake *coughcough*)

In the movie Blade Runner they have that so-called Voight-Kampff device
that enables to distinguish between humans and replicants or one could
also say between self-thinking creatures and brain-preprogrammed
zombies.

The method works by stoking resentment. Of course, it can only invoke a
response that is already latently present in the target subjects. Thank
you very much for your participation in the forum grammar test. We have
obtained some results.

It has been a pleasure for me and Maikaze, I believe ;)
