Title: Sound Bug?
Post by: salmonofdoubt on May 29, 2011, 11:50:01 AM
I'm on  Mac, and I've spoken with other people who are using Lackey on a Mac, and they have similar problems. Basically, everything I type in the in-game chat box is read back to me by the standard Mac text to speech program voice. I've tried turning off all the sounds within Lackey, but it has no effect. The sound clips for things like "hello" and the beeps for when a new message is sent still work as they always have, but everything else is fully voiced. Any idea how to fix this beyond muting my computer? It's really annoying.

I fixed it but I haven't posted the fix yet.

I just posted the fix for macs. Download the zip, and take the .app from the zip, replacing your old one. You can now disable text-to-speech and it will remember your preference.

Where exactly can I disable it? I can't seem to find the option in the sound tab of the preferences.
