CCG based on skill not luck

A game with randomness doesn't mean that there is less skill involved. Responding to randomness can actually present more opportunities to apply skill. On the other hand, it can also allow a less skilled player to beat a more skilled one.

However, a game with no randomness at all will depend completely on skill. Likewise a game that is completely random allows no room for skill. So although it's not a dichotomy between the two, there is a connection.

I don't think the idea is to make sure that each player has an equal chance to win every turn. That would be meaningless. I believe the problem is how to allow a losing player to make a comback after falling behind without relying on randomness.

There are many ways that players can achieve come-from-behind-wins through predicting other players moves and using it to gain advantage.
