Lately the games ive been hosting my self open and are displayed in green text, then minutes later, without me doing anything, are displayed in red. any ideas?

I've noticed this too. I'm still not quite sure what causes it.

a game in red cant be joined, or something bad, right? otherwise it doesnt really matter

A red name SHOULD mean that there is an open seat and the plugin name matches yours such that it is possible for you to join BUT the game's hoster has a different version of that plugin than yours, so the red is a warning that errors can occur. With the same version, the game will be green instead of red.
