how would you do it if you would have to think unconventially?

I think your english is failing your intent.
On YuGiOh, they play cards while doing absurd things like riding on a motorcycle. He is asking for other unconventional ideas on where to play cards.

Just put a card table in exotic locations, like on a rowboat in them middle of a naval boat. And the card game controls the battle around the generals.
In a tent in them middle of a battlefield, in a hot air ballon in the middle of an airship battle, or at a table in the middle of a bar room brawl.
